Ok Ms Lady...
Well, it looked like Lady's bag had regressed this morning (?), but I checked it today and it looks fuller than it has! Weird, I know. She is out in the pasture right now, and she is swishing her tail quite a bit, so maybe??? LOL. I am hopeful, but, I guess we will just have to wait and see! As some of you know, I am leaving town tomorrow afternoon, and will be coming back Sunday afternoon... So, I am praying that Lady will either foal early tonight, or wait for me to get back! I can only leave that one up to the good Lord and Lady! She is in good hands, but, I will admit, I do like being here too... sigh. So, any extra eyes over the weekend would be awesome! Definitely put my mind at ease, since "I" can't be watching nearly as much as I usually do. So anyways. Thanks Guys, Lady will be in her stall in a few! Taylor
Sorry everyone!
I tried to update the blog last night, but for some reason the blogger website wasn't publishing it! Grrr... Anyways. I am pretty sure Lady lost her mucus plug last night, which means we are getting closer! Yippee! Her bag isn't as big as I would like, but, that hasn't stopped her before! Her back end is really relaxed to day, everything back there has softened up. There was a lot of tail swishing going on last night, so I am really hopeful she will foal soon. We will see tonight I guess! Since she foaled outside last time, I am keeping a close eye on this sneaky mare. She is sooo quiet about everything, and she can really trick you! Ok, so when she foals, say lots of prayers, and when the baby is born give us a second before we rush in to figure out if it a colt or FILLY (lol), instead of the towels, I may just give two thumbs up for a filly and one thumb up for a colt. I will try to change the camera angle when she is foaling, so the cams don't kept switching back and forth. I always forget which button controls which cam, but, yesterday I figured it out, and most importantly wrote it down! LOL. Ok, so Lady is bred to Kids Classic Style, just thought I would remind you guys. Be looking for an update later. Oh yeah, I think a cold front is coming in fast, maybe that will get things moving a long! Taylor
Ok...
Well, I think Lady may have lost her mucus plug today, so that is good for us, lol. She is acting uncomfortable tonight, lots of tail swishing going on. Her bag looks pretty good, not as big as I would like, but we will see what it looks like later this evening. I am very hopeful she will foal soon! Aurora is definitely ready for a play mate! So, has the mare watching officially started off again, well, for me it has! Here's to sleepless nights... Taylor
Lady
Well, Lady has made a lot of progress today. Her bag still isn't the "huge" you want, but, she doesn't always get really bagged up. She has been biting her sides a lot today, and seems a bit uncomfortable... hmmmm. I will probably keep an eye on her tonight. I will check her later this evening to see how her bag is looking. Lady is usually a very quite mare, doesn't move around a lot. As many of you can tell, she enjoys sleeping most of the time. She is one of the most gentle and sweet moms we have, not to mention an amazing and proven producer. Lady is a funny mare when it comes to delivering... She had one of her Touchdown foals when a church youth group was out at the "farm", it was around 100 people here, talk about stressful... Her timing is very odd. She has delivered at 6 to 7 pm, midnight to 1 am, and at 11 am! Crazy mare. I haven't ever seen her go over 5 days past her due date, so we will see. I have a feeling that she is going to wait till the last sec to show us the signs I like to see, like a huge bag, maybe wax or dripping milk. I have caught her water breaking once before, so she doesn't seem to mind us being around when she goes, lol. She is sneaky though... Taylor
Cam is back up
Ok, as many of you know, the cam is back up! We were without power for two hours! I think it was lighter outside than it was in the house last night. Isn't funny when the electricity goes out that you can never seem to find a flashlight or candles? Thankfully, it was so cold outside that there was a fire lite in the fire place. It put off enough light to find the flashlight, lol. Lady is making progress, but it is still slow... I have never seen her do this, it is so bizarre! Thats a mare for ya. Abby and Aurora are doing great, they got to go outside all day, it was pretty warm out. I was cleaning up around the pasture, and a huge coyote ran across the pasture! All the dogs were going crazy, naturally, they only barked from where they were standing... Thanks for protecting me dogs! Taylor
Power is out!
Goodness, the power has been out for quite a few hours, but when it turned on, it isn't staying on for long! So, my computers isn't going to be turned on, or the cams. I am going to leave the computer off down at the barn just for tonight if this crazy power keeps turning on and off. I wouldn't worry to much, Lady doesn't seem close. I am not worried, if that tells you anything. I will be turning the cam back on tomorrow! So sorry! Thanks, Taylor
Progress!!!
Ya! Lady has made some progress today on her bag! Am I physic or what? lol. Her bag is now hard, so I am expecting it to continue building up a bag. Even though she "probably" inst super close, I still get nervous and check to make sure she is not having that baby in the pasture, LOL. It is freezing here! It seems to just kept getting colder and colder here. Today Aurora and Abby went outside for most of the day, they sunned most of the time, so I think they stayed relatively warm. I think it might rain here tomorrow, icy rain, so they may not get to go outside. Aurora won't be happy, lol. She is quite the drama queen. She is already starting to imitate Abby, like eating (more like chewing and spitting out) mom's hay and feed. Abby doesn't seem to mind all to much. Oh, Missy (of course) is making a mess of her lovely white coat... Naturally a few weeks before she will be on the cam. We have these 200 pound molasses mineral tubs, and the horses LOVE them. Other than the tubs being extremely healthy for the horses, old and young alike, it is so very messy. Scout's blazed looks half reddish brown, and her whole body is a mess. The other horses are much smarter about the stinky goodness when it comes to eating it. But, when they eat it, it is on their muzzles and tongue... So Missy grooms herself and gets it all over her coat. Good Ole Missy, gotta love her. Stay warm everyone!
Ughh
Lady is still doing absolutely nothing! I am starting to think her due date is wrong! LOL. I haven't rechecked the vets notes, but I will. I don't think she has even ever gone over 5 days after her due date, before foaling! And she isn't even looking close to having a foal around the 24th. Who knows, other than Lady of course. So, on her last foal "Heidi", she bagged up really well, and her teats filled, but she didn't wax. Oh, and she also went outside! LOL. Missy is looking good, she is getting really grumpy, which is very normal for her when she is a few weeks away from foaling. She is fine towards us, just mean to all the other horses... Abby and Aurora are doing great! Aurora is a pistol, loves to run, buck, etc. She is hilarious to watch. Abby seems to have finally realized that when the baby runs around, everything is ok, lol. She is just a concerned mom. Just to let you guys know, at night, almost all the lights are turning off in the barn. I am just leaving on one lamp over Lady's stall, so we can see if she is acting funny. The point is, lol, I know the cam isn't clear when the lights are off, just didn't feel like it was necessary to have all the lights on. I will fix them shortly, so we can see much better! Thanks! (Think Filly thoughts, LOL)
Slow...
Well, Lady is still moving a little slow for my liking, lol. I am like, Hurry it up! Her due date is on the 24th, that just doesn't seem right to me, I will check again today. I could be wrong, who knows. I was checking my "notes" on when she had Heidi in 06, and she had a full bag, and her teats were full, but she had no wax, and at the time, it did look like she could of had a bigger bag... But, as many of you know, that morning, we went outside, and there was Heidi! LOL. Sneaky girl. I wish she would have had a foal last yr. We were going to bred her to Golden Gunslinger, but he passed away, so we went for his daddy, lol. They only do on site breeding, and she got sick up there, and they couldn't get her in foal... She has always been a one time breeder, she is the easiest mare to breed, so I have no idea what they were talking about... Oh well. I really hope she foals before the 31st. I have to leave for about 3 days, on the 31st... Come on Lady! Miss Aurora is feeling soooo much better. She is back to her perky, friendly and happy self!It is freezing here, and wet! So they baby and Abby aren't to happy about not being able to stay outside for long periods of time. I can't wait for Aurora to have Lady's baby to play with! Foals are so cute. Ok, I am going to try to fix the lighting in the stall today. Yes, the lights have been going off at 11:00 pm, my time, so sorry. Just there hasn't been a big reason to leave them on at the moment. I want it to be lighting up the foaling stall, but not so the other stalls are lighting up to much at the same time. It can be difficult to get mares to come back into heat when your lights in the barn are messing their "clocks" up, lol. Taylor
Lady!
Lady is now on the camera! She is due on the 24th! I know you all will miss Aurora, but never fear, there will always be pictures! Lady isn't super close, but when she foaled last, she tricked us and ended up foaling outside! So, lets hope she will decide to foal inside this year, especially since it is the coldest it has been here in months! Lady is a world champion producer, and could be bred to a donkey, and have a world caliber foal! lol. She is bred to the famous Kids Classic Style, a HUGE buckskin. So we can have a couple color options! Lady has only ever had sorrels, so it is time to break the cycle! I would love another Pally filly, but would really love a buckskin filly! Aurora is feeling much, much better today. She is much less grumpy, and I think her tummy is doing much better. It will take a few days for her to "dry up", so for now, her rear end is a mess, yuck.
Yuck....
Well, Aurora is having the lovely foal heat diarrhea... And she isn't to happy today. I don't blame her. She is mad at mom, me, and anyone else who bothers her. lol. She has kicked at me, Abby, and the dogs, she is very grumpy. Her rear is a mess, but you won't see me cleaning it off when she is acting like this, I don't want to get kicked! We gave her some medicine from the feed store that we use a lot on the foals, helps there tummies, and sorry, but it helps there diarrhea, lol. So, yep, if you have noticed Little Miss Sunshine was acting different today, you where right. She should start feeling better soon. Poor thing. lol. Lady is making progress on her bag. She seems on schedule. We will probably be moving her on the cam soon, maybe this weekend or sometime after that. Once Rora's (although the name "roar" seems like its more appropriate for the moment, lol) rear gets all cleaned up, I promise to take some pictures! Taylor
Sorry
Goodness, sorry about not updating in a few days! I kept saying, I will do it now, and then wouldn't. But, there is nothing really new to report, lol. Abby is back to her normal self, taking care of baby and being a great mom. As you all can see, this filly is always showing off and running around. As I am sure you also noticed, she still hasn't figured out that she has absolutely no traction in the stall, and continues to fall over when bucking and such. I have been trying to get some pictures, when we go outside, but I am still having to watch Abby. She is having some separation anxiety from the herd, and is running around and poor aurora is being run to death! I would put Lady with them, but, Lady is a "foal stealer" (LOL). Even though she is pregnant, she loves foals so much, and will try to get that baby. I would hate for Abby to accidentally kick her own foal trying to chase away a mare without a foal. Lady will be turned out with Abby when she foals too. Well, Lady's bag is progressing really, really, really slow. Missy has a bigger bag than her! Missy is due around the 16/17th of Feb, if I am not mistaken. So, Lady better hurry it up, since she is due on the 24th. (I will check tomorrow, to make sure that is in fact her due date.) All of the dates we bred/checked/this/that this or that horse begins to run together after awhile... Taylor
Abby Watch
Hey All! Ok, some extra eyes on Abby today would be great! She was acting like she wanted to colic this morning. She is acting like she is feeling better, so that is great! Baby is fine. Thanks so much guys for the extra eyes! Taylor
Outside Adventure
Hello! The little girl is doing great! She is getting so spunky, Abby doesn't seem to like it when she wants to run and buck though. lol. They went outside today for the first time. I did have my camera, but I didn't have the right lens (to get a closer pic) so I really don't like the pictures I took today enough, lol. I promise to take some tomorrow, so your going to have to wait! She is wore out, and should sleep really good tonight! All the horses were in awe of her. Abby and "Aurora" went into the front paddock in front of the barn. Everyone else was in the pasture, and they piled up in the arena to watch mom and baby. Scout seemed the most enthralled... I have never seen her stand so still for so long, lol. Of course, all the mares, that have had foals, were whinnying. I will give you guys one picture, and it is of the baby's eyes. It is a pic just for her eyes, so some of her is cut off, lol, but i was trying to show you all them. We were standing under a shed, so they look darker than they really appear. I really hope they stay blue, it is so cool looking! ~Taylor
Sweet Filly!
Ok, we have been debating on names for this girl, but so far I think "Aurora" is sticking. (We are also calling her short little nicknames like,"Rory", and "Roar", lol.) She is absolutely beautiful, and built amazingly well. She already has some muscle. She also has that "pretty" people talk about, you are just drawn to her. And she loves people, it is so funny. She will follow you around, sometimes she pins her ears back, like she even knows what she is doing, lol. She is also very perceptive, and intelligent. Sometimes, you can be just standing there and she comes up and snuggles up to you and plops down for a nap at your feet. Abby seems to enjoy me letting her eat while I babysit. I am still trying not to bother Abs to much, she is still getting used to us touching and playing with her baby. Usually if it is just me she is fine, but you can see in her eyes, that with a group of "adoring fans", she gets a little upset and nervous. So I am not pushing her, and she is getting much more comfortable, like letting me babysit when she eats, lol. Ok, Aurora has, get ready for it, blue eyes?!? Yes, they are gorgeous. I really hope they stay that way, it is so beautiful. Oh, and if you are noticing me wiping of sweet baby's rear, that is because she was having her nasty colostrum poo last night, and she keep smearing it on her very light coat, and was not happy. So i was cleaning her off, and she seemed to appreciate that. Except for the baby oil to help it not stick, she didn't seem to be a fan of that, lol. It is really cold here, so hopefully baby will get to go outside soon! Taylor
Foal
Hey everyone! Baby and mom seem great. Abby is protective, and is still a little nervous with a group of people in the barn, but she is a maiden mare, and she only delivered a few hours ago! She is such a sweet foal. We are thinking of names, not sure if we will stick with the "disney" themed names, or just name them according to there personality! Thanks! Taylor Oh, and please tell us (blog it, lol) Abby's foal has gone to the bathroom, please make sure before you blog it! Just want to make sure everything is ok! I have been gone all day, and still am not sure if she has gone to the bathroom! Thanks. If you missed the foaling, here is a video of the birth! Check it out!
Pictures! (more below this post!)
Here are a few pictures of the new arrival, I will be taking more! But here are a few to hold you over till I get TONS (lol) more! This is a special filly, don't know what it is, but she has something very special about her! Thanks to everyone who watched last night! Abby popped that girl out quick!?! Abby is the best mother we could ever ask for, she is awesome! Makes me love her even more. She is pretty protective, even kind of pins her ears back at us, but after I gave her a cookie, and didn't bother her baby, she was fine. MORE PICS, below!!!!
PALOMINO FILLY!
WOW, Abby just delivered a beautiful pally filly, with a blaze and two high rear socks! She is gorgeous! Abby did great, she is one of the best moms I have seen! She is showing Missy how it should have been done, LOL. The birth was picture perfect, everything went smoothly! Thank You for you prayers, God is sooo Good! I am just happy with all of this! I thought it was a sorrel guys, then the sac broke, and wal-la, a Palomino! She is so smart, she jumped (literally) right up, and was talking to mom. Abby is doing great, she has been grooming and loving on her filly, and seems to be very content with all this new territory. Lady was talking to Abs the whole time, nickering, it was so sweet. Thank you again! If you think this girl is having trouble nursing, just tell me via internet, I will be up for a while! Torie, Abby had that baby tonight for you, but Michele(wefoal) missed it, sorry Michele! I think someone on marestare recorded it, and would love to share it with all those who may have missed the birth! I will have pics soon! Taylor Here is the link: http://todaysstable.com/_2007/30373532/cam.htm
WAX!!!
Well, Abby has tons of wax this evening, it seems to be almost dripping.... Come on Abby! Remember, the wefoal web site is down, so go to this link. The rolling text and pictures are not up to date, so just ignore it! Lets hope she goes tonight! Ok, just a thought, we will hold up a blueish-purple towel if it is a colt and a pink towel if it is a filly! Taylor P.S. Think Palomino filly thoughts! LOL
Hmmmm (CAM UPDATE)
Ok---Tom and Michele has set up a back up site in the time being! The message and pictures on the cam, are not correct, so please ignore them! Here is the link: Back up Site Abby.UPDATE: Wefoal.com is experiencing some server problems, and are working hard on getting the servers back up. So, that means no cam, and no accessing the main web page at wefoal. Tom and Michele are working on it! So, hopefully we will have the cam up and running tonight! TaylorOk, as many of you know, every night for the past 4 nights Abby acts like she may go into labor, but, as you also know, she doesn't!!! Thank you to those who allowed me to get some sleep last night, it was so very awesome of you. So, Abby is doing great (other than not having a baby yet), her bag is absolutely huge. Remember how I said I didn't think it could get any bigger---Well, it did. Everything points to go. Unfortunately with a lot of mares, it is just a waiting game. They will go when they are ready, not when we are ready. So, will she go tonight, I have know idea and I hate guessing, because I am always wrong. Though, I could be one of those people that say every single night, "she is going", and eventually, I would be right. lol. It got pretty chilly here today, I had to throw on my coat, and man, the wind was howling and blowing everything around. Scout loved it, because when the wind started up yesterday, a plastic bag blew into the pasture. All the other horses wanted nothing to do with the "ferocious" plastic bag... But Scout seemed to be so excited about it, she was chasing it, and then would jump on it, she had a blast. I wish i had my video camera. You guys should see her now, she is HUGE. Anyways, sorry, I love that filly, oh I guess mare now. So, as always, I will update when I get done from checking on Abby later this evening.
Abby
Ok, Abby's bag got bigger! It is huge, her teats are huge, and i saw a tiny, tiny bit of wax! I am pretty sure I didn't hallucinate about that either, lol. She was also pretty warm, and agitated, she has been up and down for a while now. It could very possibly be tonight... But, who is to say she will listen to me? Please be praying for Abby and foal tonight! You can also put in a good word for a palomino filly, lol. Taylor
Any time your ready....
Ok, Well, Abby seems very ready. Her bag is huge, i don't think it can get any bigger. She has been really restless the past few nights. Her tail area is soft and relaxed. No wax, but, like i have said, some horses just do not wax. Still love her though, lol. She has straw, so she is all set to go. I really don't know how much long she can hold out for! She was due the 2nd, so that baby is all ready to come out. Remember, Abby is a recipient mare carrying our now sold "Sis" and her Mr Yella Fella foal. Lets pray that Abby will have a safe foaling, both her and her baby will be happy and healthy, and that Abs will go soon, I am getting so tired, lol. Taylor I always update when i go see her at night, so check in.
Abby Update
Ok, I just checked Abby (about 9:50 here). She was up when i was down there. Her bag is its normal big self, and tender too. I put my hand on it, she sucked up that belly, sorry girl. Seems about the same so far (uncomfortable, nothing serious), haven't had a super close eye on her this evening though. Is still drinking quite a lot of water too. Oh, and no wax either. But, that isn't a big deal. Like i said, we just have to wait. It could be tonight, but it could also be the end of the week... I am pulling for the earlier times, LOL. Taylor
This is fun....
Well, whats more fun than foaling season? Not much... Lack of sleep, blood shot eyes, "patience" training, obsessing over watching horses do absolutely nothing, whats not to love? ;) Just kidding, sort of... Any ways. Abby is about the same today. All the horses were pretty frisky today, the wind was blowing all day, so they ran around quite a bit today. Her bag regressed a bit, because of all the movement. That doesn't really mean much, she can still go tonight, she could also wait a few more days. It is a waiting game! No wax, still looking for it though! She was restless last night, finally calmed down early in the morning. Abby has also be drinking tons of water, especially at night. She is getting ready to start milking. So, we wait now, lol. I will check on her tonight, and give you guys an update. See you all later, Taylor
Lets Go Abby, lol
Ok, put some straw down, as you can see. Abby seemed quite disappointed that it wasn't alfalfa hay. She is pretty uncomfortable, her bag is huge. She is going to be a milker, thats for sure! She didn't eat all her feed this evening, which is a big deal for her, she loves to eat. Her skin was pretty warm, (Lady's wasn't), and she has been belly kicking and swishing that tail. We are very close, whether its tonight, tomorrow night, only Abby and the good Lord knows, or maybe just he does? lol. So, no wax, but i think she can go any time know, it is just a waiting game. Taylor
Straw
Hey Guys, didn't want everyone to freak out that I am putting straw down. I just think we are at the point where she is close enough to going... No wax or not, she is just looking ready. I would hate to wait to long and bother her if she was in early labor. So, I am going to go check on her around 9, then put some down. I will update you again later! Taylor P.S. Remember, I don't know when she is going to foal, i am putting straw down because i think she is close, lol, doesn't mean she will actually foal!
Abby
Hey everyone. As many of you saw last night, Abby was very uncomfortable! So, I don't see how she can wait much longer.... lol. Her bag is tight and super big, it may have regressed a tiny, tiny bit from being outside all day, but barely. Her flanks and up towards her back have really sunk in, no wax/milk dripping yet. But, she could be a mare that literally does that an hour or two before starting labor. Depending on how her bag is tonight, may or may not put straw down. She isn't the best at keeping her stall clean, so I don't want her getting the fresh straw completely dirty, before the foal has even arrived! She was due on the 2nd, so that baby should be showing up! lol. So, I will check her again tonight, and give you all another update. It is pretty nice weather, a little cool, i was chilly in my short sleeve shirt. She had better hurry up, before it gets cold again! Taylor
Update
Hey Everyone. Abby is making good progress, no wax yet though. I think she has about one to two more nights in her, maybe less. I will most likely check her again before going to bed, since her bag is so big! It warmed up quite a bit to, so it would be nice foaling weather! lol. Oh, and Lady has started building a bag too, tiny though, lol. Thanks for watching! Taylor
Lots of Progress!
Guys, I really think Abby could have her foal by Sunday/Monday, if she wants too! lol. Her bag looks great, haven't seen wax yet, but I am expecting some tonight, but wax isn't necessary for her to foal! I am going out to dinner, and should be back around 7 to 8. Would you guys mind keeping an eye on her for me? We will have both cell phones, you can ask for Mark or Taylor, doesn't matter which. She was very uncomfortable last night. So I am sticking to my "in two days" guess. That means in that period of time, lol. So, lets hope she will go, because I am tired, not that she really cares all that much. Thanks for watching her guys, Taylor. I will update you again later this evening, when i really check her. If I have time after I put her up I will try to update then, but if not, I will update you when I get home from the restaurant. Taylor
9:30 Update
Hello again. Well, I just checked Abby, a bit earlier than i usually do, and her bag is extremely big, and her teats pretty big too. You can see them on camera when she is laying down! No wax yet, but i think we may get some, maybe tomorrow or so. That is if she doesn't go tonight, who knows what she is thinking, lol. I may do a wax check before i start getting ready for bed. If there is any new evidence (lol), I will post again. I am so ready for our first foal, hopefully she will go soon! Taylor
A little progress
Ok, we have made some progress with Abby. Her bag has filled out quite a bit, though, her teats don't seem extremely full. On Missy's first foal, her teats didn't fill completely, until after foaling. Abby's seem to be farther along than Missy's ever were, so we will see. She is going through short periods of being uncomfortable at night, probably because she is a maiden mare, and if the baby moves, she is thinking "ouch!". lol. As many of you noticed, Abby enjoys sleeping most of the time, and loves eating as well... Her due date was yesterday, but if I was going to guess, I would say we have about 3 days or so. Of course, my opinion means nothings, she could pull a Fixation and go tonight. lol. I won't put straw out until we get a good sign that she is with in a day of foaling or so, like waxing or dripping milk. If she does neither, I will just try and guess, then put the stray down. Hopefully she will be a good girl and wax up to give me a warning, so all my stray doesn't get dirty before she even foals. I will check on her later this evening, and if there is any new info, I will update the blog. Thanks for watching with me, Taylor
So Cold!!!!
Oh my goodness, it is so cold you guys! Last night the grass had frosted over where the sprinkler had been on. I always worry about the foals when its this cold! I have to remind myself that nature takes care of them. Abby is looking good this evening. I don't think her bag regressed any today, but I really feel like it needs to be bigger, which makes me think she isn't as close to foaling as I would like, lol. She is growing more and more uncomfortable the closer she gets, so who knows at this point! Her bag is the only thing that is throwing me off... But that means nothing to horses. I have been thinking about names this year, and do you guys think a name theme would be cute again like last yr? We would definitely need a theme that works for both fillies and colts. (Hoping for fillies here). For some reason a Disney theme would be cute, like the "classics", like Robin Hood, Peter Pan, ect. Tell me what you think! I will be checking on Abby later this evening, and if there is any knew news, I will update you all again for the day! So check in later! Oh, and Lady is doing great, thanks for your prayers! Taylor Remember Abby is carrying Sis's Mr Yella Fella foal! So, she isn't the real mom, of course, she doesn't know this, LOL. Taylor
Happy New Year!
Now that its January 1, Abby doesn't look that ready. LOL. That is a mare for you. She acts like she is close to foaling when I don't want her to foal, and now that I am ready, she seems content to just hang out. Her bag has regressed quite a bit today, so that was surprising. So, as of 6:00, she doesn't look like she will go tonight. Tomorrows her due date, so we will see what her progress is then I guess. She is acting different the past couple of days, she is spooking at things she normally didn't care that much about, and some days she runs away from us when we try to catch her, so that is interesting. Lady's belly actually looked really low today, like her foal had moved to a different position, so that's a good sign. No blood today, which I am really relieved about. I am still praying that everything will be ok, and it was just an odd thing that happened. It is so cold today, and it just got colder when the sun went down! The barn is really warm though, so Lady and Abby are nice and toasty, they just got new shavings this morning too! I will give you all a update later if there is anything new to report! Happy New Year, Taylor
