Farm Update

Well things have settled down quite abit since Missy had her baby. It is amazing how much better we feel after getting a couple full nights of sleep. I know there are others of you who feel the same way. Missy and Lucy are doing very well. Missy did very well having her first baby. No problems at all. It is taking her a little longer to get the hang of this motherhood thing. She has gone from wondering how that thing got in her stall to not wanting anyone to even look at her baby. She is very protective and has turned out to be very good mommy.

Lucy: Other than not having any color we could not be happier with Lucy. She has the pedigree, correctness, and pretty to be a great mare. She comes from a long line of great producing mares as well so she should have a promising future of being a show mare and a future broodmare for someone. She has a very pretty head, a short back, and she is very strong through her croup and hocks. I have not seen such croup and hocks on a one day old before. I will get some pictures of her up in the week ahead.

Lady is next. She is due on the 14th but seems to have a ways to go. We have foaled her 4 times and she is consistently on her due date. We'll bring her up the first of next week. She had an incredible stud colt last year. Max is at Ted Turners and will be shown this year.

We really appreciate all the e-mails and calls from many of our new friends around the World. The internet makes it feel like we all live in a small community together.
